Submitted by hcmoderator on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 03:35.From June 29 through July 4, 2008, participants will join a "Production Team" to create a documentary or narrative film based on the theme "Handle With Care," addressing environmental and other issues of interest to teens. During the week, students will be mentored by industry professionals and college interns to write, produce, direct, shoot, crew, and edit a two to four minute short that will be screened at the Camp.
The Fast Forward Film Camp was founded by HPN-DC Chapter Director, Denene Deverman Crabbs, who acknowledges "Students have a choice of being influenced by media or being influencers of media. Through film, teens have a voice and can positively affect culture. We welcome participation by teens as well as college interns and industry professionals who would like to volunteer as a mentor." Students will learn how to apply Biblical principles to their daily lives via film and pray for Hollywood as a mission field.
