Submitted by Thunderbolt47 on Wed, 04/06/2011 - 00:26.At the Saturday Night Praise on April 2, 2011, at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, I spoke with a family that often attends the dinner and service. Two cases of Cheerios were donated to their family. Since they did not need two cases, they decided to donate one case to the Saturday night dinner, the mother declaring, "Share the blessing." This comment resinated with me. How often Christians are labeled "Jesus freaks" and "hypocrites"--oftentimes rightfully so. But this family showed the real meaning of Christianity by SHARING what they had. I encourage you to do the same. When the Lord kindly gives you something, show your gratitude (after you thank Him in prayer) by giving something to someone else. By giving, God pays you back exponentially. I know; I do it myself. I have given donations and have had monumental blessings in return, not all of them monetary (although that blessing certainly helps!). Try it; you shall not be disappointed. Phil. 2:4
Former Hollywood Actor-turned-Minister
Submitted by Dr. R. Gary Heikkila on Sat, 03/05/2011 - 19:27.I was introducted to Hollywood by agent Henry Wilson when I was being considered for the lead in the 20th Century-Fox production of "The Greatest Story Ever Told." the picture was never made by Fox but ultimately by George Stevens (after my departure from Hollywood). Many felt that I was perfectly tailored for a film career. After three years of screen tests, interviews, guest appearances, being wined and dined, etc., I felt very strongly the leading of the Lord that my ultimate stage was to be pulpit size. My story is told in my book, "From Hollywood to Calvary" published by Triune Biblical University in Kelso, Washington. Having been a guest in the home of Zsa Zsa Gabor on two different occasions, and bumbing into Liz Taylor and the late Eddie Fisher, at the Academy Awards the year she won the Oscar for "Butterfield 8," it has been a great burden for me to importune heaven for their salvation. I have been praying for years for these remarkable women and for Macaulay Culkin among others. I agree that the most powerful force in the world is prayer. My heart aches for the Charlie Sheen's and Leslie Lohan's in the industry. It is a another indication of how desperately people need the Lord. God bless your efforts! Dr. R. Gary Heikkila

Many blessings from my I to I partner
Submitted by hcmoderator on Tue, 02/24/2009 - 00:20.I want you to know my I to I partner has been just as much a tremendous blessing to me! I prayed a lot about who you would match me with, and I, too, know you were hearing from God! Thanks Gloria! You matched her with me back in Oct of 2007, and through all that time, we've seen God answer many prayers and bring heaps of mutual encouragement!
Keep up the good work! God bless and strengthen you!

Divine Intervention
Submitted by admin on Thu, 09/25/2008 - 03:15.I am so glad I've joined the Hollywood Prayer Network. I was stressing out last Monday morning trying to make it to an audition that I couldn't find and then I heard your voice on the radio. It calmed me down. I never did make it to my audition so the rest of the day I was upset wondering why God had me waste so much time and gas for no reason. Now it makes sense. If I wouldn't have tried to make it to my audition I never would have heard your voice on the radio and I am so thankful that I did. The craziest thing about it is I had turned my radio off at least twice so I could focus on my directions and it turned itself back on both times. Maybe my radio is just getting old, but I know God has planned for me to be a part of this amazing network.
I am pursuing an acting career in Los Angeles and my goal has always been to use this industry as my mission field. I am so glad I have found an organization with the same plan. I would love to join the "I to I" program and I look forward to the monthly newsletters.
Thank you so much.
Blessings,
Taylor
